I have only used the free trial for codecademy but it still offered a lot for me to learn.

What I learned from Codecademy

To be completely honest, I don’t think I learned too much. I followed the courses and even decided to 100% them all because the idea of coding sounded fun to me, but at the same time I don’t think I retained much knowledge. I took HTML during my freshmen year of high school, so I remembered a few things like the a href and img src so those first few sections of it was easy. Half the time I was confused by what the site wanted me to do, I found myself staring at the page for over ten minutes and trying multiple attempts to grasp what exactly they wanted me to do. I think the CSS was the hardest part of all of this. This section made little to no sense to me and I only started to understand it by the end of the lesson. I honestly had quite a few panic attacks trying to do this and I think in the future I don’t want to do anymore coding if I can.
